Ahualulco is located 65 kms (40 mi.) west of Guadalajara in the State of Jalisco, Mexico. The picturesque village of Ahualulco is surrounded by maguey plantations. Round rocks of different sizes known as "esferas" or spheres can be seen in front of the main church.
