Culiacan
 

Culiacan is the Capital city of the State of Sinaloa. It is located 1,230 km. from Mexico City. Culiacan was founded in 1531 and it is one of the oldest cities in Mexico.

 Among Culiacan most beautiful attractions you can visit are the following ones:

  • The Cathedral, built in the XVIII century

  • The Autonomous University Centennial Building

  • The Antique Hospice, which is the Municipal Palace now

In Culiacan you can hunt Canadian duck and white winged pigeon, principally near the Chirigueto, Yameto and Canachi lagoons (from November to February).

Thirty kilometers from Culiacan you get to the Imala Spa, a beautiful place ideal for picnics.

Thirty-six kilometers from Culiacan you can visit the Sanalona Dam, an ideal place for fishing.

Fifty-four kilometers southwest of Culiacan you get to the Ponce and Las arenitas beaches.
