Dzitya

Dzitya is located 10 km from Merida in the State of Yucatan by the federal highway 261 in Mexico.

Among Dzitya main attractions are:

• The Temple of San Diego, with its beautiful belfry

• Beside this temple, there are series of singular stones which when beaten produce a special sound that is supposed to have been used as a mean of communication among the Mayan people

The handicrafts of Dzitya town consist of carved wood objects.
